The Missouri Health Insurance Pool is designed to help those who are unable to get health insurance. Coverage includes inpatient out outpatient hospital care and physician care. MHIP will not cover pre-existing conditions that existed during the six months prior to the policy being issued. This can be waived under certain circumstances.
MC+ for Kids offers children up to the age of 19 years old coverage for services including preventative care, hospital care, dental care, and prescription drugs. The total income of families is taken into consideration for qualification. In some cases, families must pay co-payments and premiums.
Medical Assistance for Families provides medical assistance to children up to the age of 19 and their parents if the family meets certain income qualifications. Assistance covers services including dental care, vision care, outpatient hospital services, hospitalization, and preventative care.
