Medica Direct Value has six plans available to Minnesota residents who are looking for individual or family healthcare coverage. Medica Direct Value has deductibles for individuals ranging from $150 to $5,000.  Maximum out of pocket, or the most that a member has to pay during a given year, is $1,500 for the Direct Value $150 deductible plan and $6,000 for the $5,000 deductible plan.  Coinsurance on most services is 20% after meeting your deductible.  Since 96% of the medical care providers in Minnesota are enrolled in Medica’s network, members do not have any problems getting quality healthcare at affordable prices.  Coverage includes office visits, hospitalization, and prescription drugs.  Prescription drugs for those using the Direct Value $500 deductible plan have a separate $250 deductible on prescription drugs.

Medica offers HSA programs to Minnesota and South Dakota residents.  HSA plans offer members high deductibles with low premiums and the possibility of saving money on their taxes.  Members contribute pre-tax dollars to their Health Savings Account and use this Account to pay for qualified medical expenses.  If there is any money left in the account at the end of the year, the money rolls into the next year.  Many members use their HSA accounts as a long term savings account.  Medica Direct HSA has eight choices of deductibles ranging from $1,350 to $2,700 for individuals.  Members who choose Medica Direct HSA plans with deductibles ranging from $1,350 to $2,800 have a 20% coinsurance after deductibles are met.  Medica Direct HSA plans with deductibles from $1,750 to $2,700 do not have to pay any coinsurance after deductibles are met.  Coverage includes office visits, hospitalization, and prescription drugs.
