Great-West HealthCare provides health care coverage to more than 5,000 employers nationwide with the following types of products:
- Consumer-driven health care products – allows members to take control of their health, with a lower premium for employers; available through Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), Health Savings Account (HSA) and Great-West Healthcare Consumer Advantage
- Traditional products – provide members with the flexibility to use a primary care physician for general medical care and referrals to specialists; these include PPO, Point of Service (POS), HMO and Open Access plans
- Additional products: pharmacy, dental and vision
Note that the Open Access plan requires members to utilize an in-network Primary Care Provider for their basic health needs and any referrals. Family members may select different Primary Care Providers.
Additionally, Great-West provides benefits such as long and short-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, and wellness programs to provide employees with a well-rounded benefits package. The Medical Outreach program provides assistance with chronic conditions, while their Driver’s Ed program provides valuable educational resources.
Individual insurance is provided by a partnership between Great-West HealthCare and American Republic – covering self-employed people, retirees, individuals and families.
