Atlantis Health Plan’s comprehensive coverage provides options for doctor office visits, where co-payments can be $10, $15, or $20. Additional services include plan riders for prescription drug benefits, vision benefits, coverage for students, mental health or substance abuse needs, and more.
- Atlantis HMO – a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) provides members with access to a network of excellent providers who have pre-negotiated to offer affordable fees to Atlantis members. Members are responsible for selecting a primary care provider who coordinates the member’s healthcare needs, including referrals to specialists, if necessary. HMO options typically require fewer out-of-pocket expenses than POS plans.
- Atlantis POS – the Point-of-Service (POS) option allows members to select their physician or hospital, without the need for referrals. A primary care provider should still be selected for routine healthcare needs. The POS plan provides more options when choosing physicians or hospitals, but may require a greater out-of-pocket cost to members.
